In Case You Were Wondering...

Hello Families and Friends of BHSSC,

In case you ever wondered how the campers felt about camp they've decided to share with you by drawing a mural on the chalkboard during circuits! The quote goes... Science Camp Rox!

Above is the mural to prove it!

Circuits/Shaking Up This World

Hello Families and Friends of BHSSC,

We have wonderful updates for you today! Our campers participated in two very exciting activities. The campers learned all about circuits and how intricately they work. The campers also learned about seismic waves and earthquakes! The most interesting thing about the activities today is that both were extremely hands on! The campers built structures and put them to the test to see if they could survive earthquakes and the campers also built various circuits (some of which flew and made sounds). Today was a very interesting and interactive day here at the Bernard Harris Science Summer Camp. The activities were so cool that we even taped them! Enjoy the pictures and videos and stay tuned because the scientific experience has only begun!

Recap of Last Week

Hello Families and Friends of BHSSC,

We are proud to announce that week 1 of camp went exactly as planned, totally awesome. The campers had a very educational and experiential week as they traveled to Nahant to learn about the ecosystem and met two ASTRONAUTS in one day (Dr. Harris and Al Sacco)! It was a very exciting experience to watch everyone's face light up when Dr. Harris told his stories about using the potty in space! We hope that you've enjoyed our updates so far and we'll be sure to flood you with more entertaining post and pictures. We also had four birthdays last week! The students had cake in the cafeteria to celebrate the births of future scientists! Here are some very memorbale pictures from lastweek!
